hello to everyone , i am using microsoft dynamics ax 2012 r3 version . i am new in this field . sir/madam i want to know that how can i use general ledger . i am waiting for yours guidance .

Hi Paras, it seems you missed Suggestions for Posting a New Question - your title ("need help") clearly violates already the first point:

Subject Line: Type a concise, brief description of your problem or question. For example: "Create an Audit Report in CRM" or “Removing reporting currency in AX 2012 R2." A subject line that says only "I need help" will not catch the attention of someone who may be familiar with your particular situation.

Please read the suggestions now, so you can do it right next time.

Also, your question (how can I use general ledger) is way too broad. We can give you links to some documentation about general ledger, but you really should make more effort to think about what you actually need, such as what's your job (the point of view of accountants and developers are very different), what's your current level of knowledge (maybe you know accounting or not AX or vice versa) and things like that.

Hi ,

I would recommend that you take a look at the Dynamics Learning Portal and go through the different training courses of the General Ledger module provided that you would have access to customer/Partner source. That would be good start.

Hi Paras mehan,

You question is very General. Are you looking for how to use the GL module in AX or are you looking for some general (accounting) information what the GL is and how it integrates with all the other accounting-subledgers.

If you could specify some requirements/business needs that you have we could possibly help you more.

i wanna work on it as a accountant . i am not trained so i want to take an overveiw on it . but after spending some time on it i got it how to work on it . in future if any problem will incured then i will post . :)
