Hi to all,

I have request from the Manager of the accounting department of my company to give him rights in order to manage the other users (for example to be able to assign or remove companies from the users) except mine where i'm the IT Administrator.

Could you please let me know if this is possible and if yes how can I give him such permissions.

Thanks!

    As far as I know it is not possible to give rights to manage most users but not you. It's all or no one. So the only solution is to make him superuser (and agree not to change something on your role).

    You cannot give him permissions to change some users, except some other users. If he has rights, he will change all users. You can give him SUPER role, if you want to add him all permissions. If you do not want it, give him, "System" Object Type permissions, e.g. 5820 or 5821. You can find here more possibilities.

    You can find it (depend of versions):

    -Classic Menu: Tools->Security->Roles->Permissions

    -NAV2013R2: Departments->Administration->IT Administration->General->Permission Sets->Permissions

    hi,

    both of you need the role/permissionset SUPER.

    make clear that the manager should not change anything on your user.

    if you want to give the manager special rights have a look at the user roles/permissions and the possibilities to customize the permission sets.

    Hi,

    It seems that you wants make him the same authority level of ERP administrator where he can assign user rights.

    You can make him super user by assigning this role.

    If you need any specific user rights then please share.
