Hello all,

I have a requirement. A Item Ledger Entry page which is already designed with Temperory Table . Every time user runs the page .. it will compile data from Table 32 and display it in page yb inserting data in temperory table.

Now the requirement is , there were so many records that is listed in page, where user Provided a option filter records based on Item No. and select records which would crreate Sales Order.

Now the Problem is When user filter for one item (Say Item1)and select certain records (a boolean field called Select is avialble for selection of records).and again goes for filtering of second item (say Item2). The Record selected for (item 1) is not aviable.

How we make possible for user , for selection of more than one item , so that we can create sales order for more items.

You can not do like this. As soon as you change your filter, system might reset the earlier data selected by you, as you are using temporary table.

Better, you ask user not to change filter frequently, or go for some other approach of adding the selected records to temporary table and then you create the Sales Order from there.

Thank you all experts for your help..

I was able to suggest the user regarding the Pipe Symbol Filter that we use in Navision.

But nowi have a problem

forexample i have set filter for two items

and i have selecting lines to create lines.

Then I want to add filter for one more item.

Please Refer Picture Screenshot "Before addding filter".The Cursor is at the item which i have entered value and selected for Sales Order Creation.

When the cursor is at that line (it isquite normal), iam adding the tird filter for one more item. Please refer Picture Screenshot "After adding filter".

I was able to add filter and the filter works perfect, but the last line which i had selected for Sales order creation lost the data .

Iam not getting why this happens.

Could you please any one help me?

You can use the Pipe | symbol to filter the list for multiple items or once you select the Item 2 and set the boolean select , ask the user to clear the filter and filter on the select boolean which should give all the items he has selected.

You can use standard criteria for filters for that purpose, e.g. put "|" to combine two values so the filtering will be by both values.

You can use pipe (|) sign to filter multiple Item records. e.g. Item A | Item B | Item C.

Ideally, you should not use Item Ledger Entry table for your requirement, as it would affect the performance very badly. Just see, if any other option is available for your requirement.
