Question about using MAPI

My customer is on 18.00 and using O365 - They only email from one machine that has GP on it - if they load 32 bit Outlook on that machine and change to MAPI can the rest of the users stay on O365 or does everyone have to go to 32 bit (even though nobody else will email out of GP)
