Unified Pricing Management Tool

Hello,
 
we are switching to D365 Supply Chain Management in all our companies in EU and I am evaluating the new pricing management tool.
 
So far I can say that is covering 90% of what we need but my only concern is the note on the feature that states to not use it in the production environment even if the feature is not in preview.
 
How safe is the feature? Could we use it in Prod (the go-live for the first two companies is scheduled in January 2026)

    I guess it's this description?
    I'm 99% confident in it, since it's the migration path of the deprecated pricing management feature. The PM Sherry Zheng announced the GA version as 10.0.43.
     
    My assumption is that it's an old description that has yet to be updated.

    That is exactly what I was referring too. To this looked something like a leftover because on all the documentation that I have read I never got the vibe that the tool is still in development.

    That's my gut feeling also, it's fairly production ready. If you can run an end-to-end process without issues using UPM then I see no issues.
    It's using the Commerce Scale Unit (CSU) in Retail for price calculation, and that is really mature technology.

    Hi Andrea,
     
    Unified pricing management tool was in preview in version 10.0.38, however its generally available, since version 10.0.41.
     
    Reasons to be aware of on turning the Unified pricing management tool.
    1. Significant downgrade in performance in version 10.0.42. Faced this issue post 10.0.42 upgrade, however raised a request with Microsoft and had this flight called GUPUnifiedPricingDataManagerPerfImproveV1Flight for the environment enabled. This is a fix to improve performance. 
    2. With unified pricing management noticed that standard trade agreement associated with sales orders error out. It is a strange issue and is still an open issue.

    3. Attribute pricing in Pricing management because customer attribute group and product attribute groups are not supported in Unified pricing either. It will be ignored and the respective transactions won't match).

    Security role related:
    1. There are also security role assignment related issues where user could still see screens like Trade agreement inquiry form with no access to view those trade agreement inquiry screens. This issue will be sorted out shortly by Microsoft in version 10.0.45. (Details: Issue 1033142)
