Is Unified pricing management module applicable only to sales pricings??

Hi team,

I have recently came to know MS has introduced Unified Pricing management module in D365FO from last few versions. I have also read some blogs and official MS documentation about pricing modules which works most effectively for sales price and discount definitions when compared to traditional pricing system. I have a query that is this module applicable only to Sales or this works the same way for purchases even??.

I have a follow up query for this, as you said this pricing module is applicable to vendor, will it work in the same way as free items, coupons, discounts, attribute-based pricing and discounts?

Hi Harshitha,

The functionality for free items, coupons, and promotional discounts is tailored specifically for sales transactions and customer pricing.

For vendor-side transactions, D365FO does not yet provide these advanced capabilities within the Unified Pricing Management module.

While you can use attribute-based pricing and discounts (i.e., pricing based on item attributes or customer attributes) in sales transactions, this functionality does not currently apply in the same way for vendor purchases.
