Stop / Delete a released product from all legal entities

Hello,

I am using ax 2012. In AX if we want to delete / stop a released product we need to go to all legal entities and delete the same product in all legal entities one by one.

So i was wondering if there is any functionality / setup / workaround through which we can delete or stop a released product from all legal entities in a single step?

When we release products to companies, system creates records in inventTable per company and I don't think we have anything out of the box to delete in one shot but still you can write a job to do that. You can refer below link - community.dynamics.com/.../206630

HI Abhishek,

Have you tried the setup under Default Order Settings?

You can stop it for Sales Order, Purchase Order and Inventory.

Hi Abhishek Chavda,

I dont think there is any functionality to delete a released item from all companies in one go.

As you said stop and item then you can use stopped check mark in default order settings for the released products form to stop any further transactions for that item in future. This although needs to be done for all the legal entities where this item is released.

Check stopped check mark for purchase, inventory and sales fast tab to completely stop item from further transactions.

Yes, I tried the setup in Default Order Settings where we can stop a product for sales order, purchase order and inventory.

Also we can delete a released product if there is no transaction posted for the item.

But the issue is, we need to repeat same process for all legal entities.

@Ajit,

I think the code given in link performs some action based on excel import / export. Can I use that code for my requirement by making some modifications in it?
