Hi, we are starting a new process whereby we will loan items out to customers on a trial basis which are then returned to us at the end of the trial period. The stock will still remain our property and we will use charges to account for fees we will charge. The items will have serial number tracking turned on. Currently we are looking to transfer the items to a dummy /loan/ warehouse location so that we can track where they are, but this then does not allow for any entry on sales orders. so, after the trial period we don't know who will have had the trial products.
I'm sorry I may not fully understand your question, I think you can use Dimension to manage. Or you can directly take the name of Location as the customer name.
