Hi All,

I have few doubts regarding AX 2012 Retail.

After Store DB creation,

For Example my store timings are 06:00:00 AM to 12:00:00 PM

1. Running  "N-jobs" one time is enough or  suggest me the recurrence ?

2. Running   "P-jobs" Advice me which time is to pull the sales transactions ?

3.Can i run "P-jobs" once a day or can i schedule it every 1 minute recurrence ?

4.What time is advisable to run "A-Jobs" and when it is required?

    Hi,

    1) You would require to run N Jobs only once, when you create new store. Unless it is critical (like some information is missing at store), you don't need to run this job again.

This job would replicate entire master data to store and would impact the performance very badly.

    2) "P Jobs" can be run every one hour. However it depends on the network speed & no. of transactions. We have even scheduled to run P Jobs for pulling the transaction every 5 minutes.

    3) You can run P Jobs every one hour or once a day (after working hours). This depends on the network speed & volume of the transactions.

    4) A Jobs is advisable to run once a day. Ideally it should be before start of the day.

In AX 2012 R3, they have removed A Job & N Job. It is based on the SQL Change Tracking functionality and is 1000's times faster than previous technology (N Job & A Job)

Let me know, if this helps you.

    Hi Vishal,

The above information is really helpful. If i may ask further, could you please suggest on below-

    1. In AX 2009, when i run P jobs, is there a possibility to verify in sql if the jobs are successfully executed.

    2. We are using an isv solution for loyalty. Here we have a table that has field- loyalty customer id. I see this table is a part of N-job and hence when this job is executed, i expect this data to be reflected in POS. My question is, does  AX 2009 POS out of the box provides flexiblity to find a customer based on loyalty customer id. Or would it be a customization? Any suggestion would be a helpful.

    BR,

    Nishi
