Gen. Prod. Posting Group must have a value in Item Journal Line: Journal Template Name=ITEM, Journal Batch Name=DEFAULT, Line No.=10000. It cannot be zero or empty.

When i post in Item Journal , it say :" Gen. Prod. Posting Group must have a value in Item Journal Line: Journal Template Name=ITEM, Journal Batch Name=DEFAULT, Line No.=10000. It cannot be zero or empty. "

    Look at the item on the first line. It must be missing Product posting group. Go to the item card an select the correct posting group for the item. Then just remove the item number from the first line and select it again, and the posting group will populate on the line and it should post if other lines are ok.

    Ok, I see the issue. Do not renumber the item on the item card, but just re-select it on the Item Journal Line. You are doing everything else totally correct, but just before you post, you should select the item on the line again, so it will populate the other fields on the journal line.

    Also, I noticed that the VAT posting group is empty, that could also cause issues later on, but lets worry about the GPPG first.

    Look for a line where the posting date is empty. Every line needs a posting date. Looks like it would be the 415th line so way down in the bottom.
