we have an hybrid licensing model, but we are using for now Dynamics 365 OnPrem version

Version 1612 (9.0.18.12) (DB 9.0.18.12), we are facing an issue when creating an action for a case record

inside the Record Creation and Update Rule Item form, the error says Unknown Entity Name and details are

The entity name doesn't exist. Please specify an existing entity name.

We have restarted the server, we have published the entity and nothing, entity has not changed its name

Can you help us to resolve the issue as we are deploying something to prod in the next days.

FYI: This issue is not happening in DEV instance.

    Hi partner,

Have you tried to clear the web cache or change the browser to test?

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with creating an action for a case record in Dynamics 365 CE OnPrem version. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

    1. Verify entity name: Ensure that the entity name you are using in the Record Creation and Update Rule Item form is correct and exists in the system. You can verify this by going to Settings > Customizations > Customize the System and checking the entity name in the solution explorer.

    2. Check security roles: Verify that the security roles assigned to the user creating the rule have the necessary privileges to access and update the entity. Check the security roles by going to Settings > Security > Security Roles.

    3. Check entity customizations: Check if the entity has any customizations, such as plugins or workflows, that may be interfering with the rule creation. Disable any customizations related to the entity and try creating the rule again.

    4. Review system and application logs: Review the system and application logs in Dynamics 365 CE OnPrem version to see if there are any errors or warnings related to the entity or the rule creation process. This may provide additional information to help diagnose the issue.

If you are still unable to resolve the issue, it may be helpful to reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.
