Hi,

I have a question regarding field services in which i want to know How to tie asset with resource in field services which can help us automatically assigning resource with an assets on work order rather assigning a resource manually on work order.

Note: After that I just want to fetch the resource information on work order that has tied with the customer assets. Is it possible in field services if yes then how?

    If you are using agreements there is an option to choose Preferred Resources:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/field-service/set-up-customer-agreements#scenario-1-auto-generate-work-orders-for-asset-maintenance 

    I can't segment it by Customer Asset but you can do it on the Service Account. Go to the Related tab -> Resource Preferences.

    You also can customize, create a relationship between the Bookable Resource and Customer Asset, so you can use Flow to create the record below:

    Hi Gabriel,

    Thanks For Your Response! I tried it out by using Resource preferences but it is not working good It's just shown on the Schedule Board my technician as preferred Resource this is not actually I want, I just want to Create the work order first and when I select Customer Asset so relevant technician that have assigned on that asset can pickup automatically For the Work Order.

    Hi.

    I am assuming the technician is using the mobile app.

    You have to create a booking and set the resource/technician.

    Once the work order is created and the Flow has run to create the Preferred Resource, you can see it on the Schedule Board. If you don't want to show anybody else in the Schedule Board, you can use the option "Must choose from".

    Looks like you want to have the booking created and assigned to the technician when the work order is created. You can use RSO or Flow to create the booking for the right technician.
