How to register a "good quantity" that is less than requested quantity in job registration feedback

In Job registration Form, how can I report feedback (as a worker) that I only could manufacture X items instead of the XX that are the requested quantity.

Here is my sample scenario:

I have a production order of 100 jars, and it takes two jobs to finish the product, eg:make the jar and paint it.

a worker clocks in at the begining of the day and register for the job of "make the jars", and then by noon that worker wants to report feedback and register 20 jars as completed so a second worker can clock in at second shift and register for the job "paint the jars" and start working with those 20 finished items.

Problem with that is that I haven't been able to set up that desire behavior. the system keeps telling that a worker cannot report 20 Items as finishes becouse the requested quantity is 100.
