Exchange rate issue for foreign currency transaction

Hi Everyone,

I have set up the accounting currency as Euro. I have defined the exchange rate between INR and EUR as 0.32, starting on September 30, 2024, under the exchange rate type 'default.' I have also assigned the same exchange rate type in my ledger.

Now, when I try to post a transaction in INR dated October 16, the system is picking a different exchange rate (0.01111).

I need help understanding what might be missing

Is the .011111 rate setup on any other currencies in the system?

Hi,

Please try to delete the journal line and create it again with same voucher date and currency to check if you get the correct exchange rate?
If not, the workaround can be to click on General tab on the General journal and and modify the Exchange rate manually.

Hi,

Since it’s a Euro currency, triangulation might be enabled. If triangulation is enabled, go to

General Ledger > Currencies > Denomination Currencies

and check the exchange between INR and EUR
