AX 2012 R2
Assume that client has 3 items . Item A ( Finished ) , Item B( Semi Finished ) and Item C ( Semi Finished)
Costing method - Standard
Item A = Item B + Item C
Item B = B1+ B2 + B3
Item C = C1 + C2 + C3
All BOM configurations and routing has been done .
The question is If i calculate the cost for the Item A , does it calculate for the sub components also automatically ..If yes .. what is the option and share the path ?
Or
Do i need to run for Sub components individually for the Item B and Item C , then run for Item A .

Hi Lally,
When the Item B and C are setup to be phantom items, it will calculate using the subcomponents. If not, it will use the item cost of the components itself. If you have standard cost, this will be a fixed cost price. During the cost calculation (ending production) the variance between costs of components + operations and the standard cost will be determined.
