Setting up new Checkbook error

Hello,

Would anyone be able to assist me. I'm currently setting up a new checkup in GP 10.0. I went to cards/financial/checkbook entered all the information of the new checkbook. I hit saved. I later tried to access it to print a test check and I get a little GP message " This checkbook is not accessible". I'm using the master log-in. I can however access the checkbook information through the checkbook list. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Pamela,

This is not the typical error I am used to seeing, but you are on an older version of GP. Check the following as the SA user: Tools > Setup > Purchasing > Mekorma MICR Payables.

Mekorma is a 3rd party product, which enables companies to print Payables checks onto blank check stock, by MICR encoding account, routing, check number and signature information.

If this is not the case, and you're receiving access errors on Checkbooks, you may have Advanced Security configured, and require specific access to this checkbook.  Here is a link to an explanation of this feature.

I know this question is 2 year-old but if you have Binary Stream Multi Entity Management, you need to assign the checkbook to the entity first then you will be able to pull up the checkbook.

Leslie, what would you advise if multicurrency is in play. I have a similar issue occurring during a multicurrency setup. I created the checkbook ID with all information, multicurrency is registered and currency ID was set. Now I can't find it, yet when I try to recreate it I get the same "this checkbook is not accessible" error
