Hi All,

The Custom SSRS Reports I developed work very well in dev environment but It occurs an error in UAT environment like this;

Unable to find the report design CustomerReport.Report.

Of course, After I create deployable package in VS, and then Apply package to UAT server. By the way, It doesn't work ssrs reports except for custom tables, classes, etc.

Anyone tell me how to deploy using PowerShell to UAT or would you please let me know why i get an the error?

Hi Mitsugo,

A report should be part of a deployable package. This is the only way to move it to a production environment. If it is currently not visible in your UAT, then you need to check if the package really contained all objects and if the deployment was completed without issues.

Good morning. This is Mituso, and Thank you so much for your reply.

Unfortunately, We don't have production environment yet, as you mentioned, I created deployable packages several times and then apply them to UAT but, it doesn't work. I'll check whether deployable packages contains SSRS report or not again if there is any other ways.

In my memories, when I was on premise periods, I deployed ssrs report using PowerShell commands to AX2012 server. Anyway I appreciate your help.

Hi Mitsugo,

You don't need to deploy the reports using PowerShell anymore. The UAT deployment takes care of it. While creating a deployable package, you would be choosing the package(s) where you are doing your development. Please check the model of the report and make sure that the model the report is developed on is included in the list of packages you are choosing.

It is always preferred that you setup a build pipeline instead of generating deployable packages from your development environment. Please check this link which will provide more information regarding this -
