Installing Remote Desktop Integration Add-in via enterprise management tools?

Does anyone have a successful experience getting the RD Integration installed in the Enterprise and not having individtual users install it? We're using the RD integration add-in but it's a pain to get it installed on 100's of PCs. We can't pre-install it per PC via SCCM because the setup program only installs to the user profile. We can advertise it, but each user on shared PCs has to install it separately. Worse, it doesn't install over itself, so we have to script an uninstall and then re-install. Luckily, that doesn't affect the other users on the PC; as long as the add-in is there, the earlier users who installed the integration still have it. The integration is a great feature, but the setup program not anywhere mature enough for enterprise management systems like System Center.

I think you don't have to uninstall/reinstall this for every user. If the extensions installes ones (on your template) it maybe sufficient to add the desribed registry keys. (Maybe during Logon Script or something)

We only do this in a click-me way!  Link/Icon

Another way could be doing this (checking if avail, if not create it) in the AxClient Start startupPost()

But this will only have affect starting from the next Session with the client.

May Windows Policies could be also a way.

Please try this and posts your  results / examinations and maybe how you will have integrated this in your environment.

    regards

    Douglas

Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction!  Ben's registry data was what I needed.  But instead of HKCU, I put the entries in HKLM and it works for all users on the PC.  We now can use a SCCM task sequence to install the add-in, also adding the registry changes to HKLM.  This solves a huge problem of getting the add-ins installed on hundreds of PCs, many of them shared, without user intervention.
