URGENT PLS: Bulk Update Knowledge Article Content with Different URL in D365 online

Hi All,

I just exported Knowledge articles that has Sharepoint link in the content, using Advanced Find from my D365 instance.

Our Sharepoint Link has been changed when we migrated to Sharepoint Online and i want to bulk update around 2500 odd Knowledge article Content with new link.

Could anyone suggest any steps i should follow?

I tried to replace old link with new in excel but there are some limitations that i can only update certain number records using "replace" formula.

Let me know if anyone has any questions

There are 2500 odd records that needs to be updated, getting the above error when click on "Replace all"

Hi Ravi

I tried the same and didn't experience any error saying limit reached. Here I have replaced 23569 records in Excel Online and save it back to Dynamics CRM for import. Would you please:

1) How many records will be replaced?

2) What is the exact error exception? A screen shot will be big plus.

Thanks for your reply, as i mentioned above, i have tried updating this by exporting all the articles to excel but its throwing me an error saying i can only update certain number of records.

Hi Ravi

Yes, you can bulk update easily with below steps:

1. Saved your advanced find as a view like "Records needs to be updated"

2. Back to the entity, select the view you just saved.

3. click "Export to Excel" button and select "Open in Excel Online"

4. Bulk update the sharepoint link in Excel Online, then click Save.
