Hi,

Currently I have Cloud hosted Finance and Operations - Develop (10.0.12 with Platform update 36). This I deployed August 2nd week. Now UAT and PROD has been upgraded to 10.0.13 PU 37. So I need to upgrade my Dev VM also. I navigated to environment page, Maintain > Apply updates. I saw below list

1. AX2012DataUpgrade-10-0-13

2. DataUpgrade-10-0-13

I tried to apply  DataUpgrade-10-0-13. It throw me below error.

The environment 'devtestenv' is of Platform version: Update36 - 7.0.5688.35584, Application version: 10.0.12 - 10.0.507.10024. The package and its solution is: (1) DataUpgrade-10-0-13 (Platform version: Update37 - 7.0.5746.35607, Application version: 10.0.13 - 10.0.569.10021). Error message: Package Application Release does not match Environment Application Release. Solution: Please ensure the Package has been built with the same Application release as the Target Environment

Then I tried to apply AX2012DataUpgrade-10-0-13. Again it throw me similar error.

The environment 'devtestenv' is of Platform version: Update36 - 7.0.5688.35584, Application version: 10.0.12 - 10.0.507.10024. The package and its solution is: (1) AX2012DataUpgrade-10-0-13 (Platform version: Update37 - 7.0.5746.35607, Application version: 10.0.13 - 10.0.569.10021). Error message: Package Application Release does not match Environment Application Release. Solution: Please ensure the Package has been built with the same Application release as the Target Environment

In Microsoft hosted VM in asset library I have First Release Service Update - Version 10.0.13. But in Cloud hosted Asset library I could not see this.

Please advice me on how to upgrade to 10.0.13 PU 37

Regards,

Manivannan

    Hi,

You need to deploy the "First Release Service Update - Version 10.0.13" package into your Dev environment. If you can't see the package in the available list in Cloud hosted environments, you can download and install it using the steps mentioned here.

The data upgrade packages are not used for updating your system from PU36 to PU37 so you should not use them.

Is your cloud hosted VM in the same LCS project than the Microsoft hosted environment? If yes, then you should see the package available when you apply updates to your dev system.

If your dev system is in another LCS project, you need to first import the package from Shared asset library to your LCS project's Asset library before you can install it to environments.

Please verify the exact name of the package that was applied to UAT and PROD so that you will use the same package in your dev system, too.

    Hi Nikolaos,

My cloud hosted VM is in different LCS Project and it is Trial version. I could not able to see updates in Maintain menu. Only Apply updates available.

I also tried @Gunjan answer. I downloaded "First Release Service Update - Version 10.0.13" from other LCS project to dev VM, Unzip the package and run AXUpdateInstaller.exe devinstall. Below error came.

The devInstall option is not applicable to the current deployable package.

    Regards,

    Manivannan

If it's a different LCS project, you must first import the update package from Shared asset library to Asset library. Go to Asset library, click Import, and select the correct package.

You can only apply such packages to your system, which exist in the Asset library for this LCS project!

Once the package is in your project's Asset library you can apply it to your dev environment from LCS.

    Hi,

This is not a service update and is not a customization package. Hence the devinstall option will not work. You will need to collect toplology information data and proceed with the steps mentioned.

Actually he should install it via LCS, not manually via command line.

I agree Nikolaos. Installing via LCS is the preferred method.

Just in case he is unable to get the file in LCS, installing via command line would be an alternative.

Another alternative if you don't see that package in your project asset library is, download it from library where you see it . Manually upload it to your LCS in your project asset library and then apply it to your  environment.

I manually downloaded and applied to the environment. Thanks to everyone for your valuable answers.

I recommend you to update the system via LCS. Otherwise you will see wrong version information in the environment details in LCS. Also it's good to learn the proper process since it's much faster to do it like that, instead of downloading files and running scripts manually on the VM.
