Edit locked tables for restoring a native database to sql (wrong date entry in locked table stops it)

There are some wrong date formats in the LOCKED table "G/L entry" instead of 10/10/2007 -> 10/10/0007

So when i restore de fbk file with finsql i get the error message that the SQL server can't handle the date format

I tried the following to edit these dates:

  • go to nav object designer and go to the table and to the record (but can't edit the date)
  • tried to use the ODBC driver and access but the same ... can't edit
  • tried a text editor to manualy edit the data ... but file is to big

Does anyone has any suggestions?

Thanks a lot!

You need to contact the partner, who will have license for it.

I understand that i need a developer license, but we are developing a custom .NET ERP-system.

We develop with visual studio 2015 (2017) and Standard SQL-server.

The customer wants to stop with NAV.

We only need to export all the Navision data to a SQL database, in order to import and for consultation reasons.

There are not a lot of records with wrong date format (I think 10 records).

Can i get a licence for this old version?

Is there a possibility that I can ask for a temporary developers licence for "Microsoft Business Solutions - Navision Ver. 4.0 SP3"?

You need a developer license to modify the protected table.

Ledger Entry tables are protected tables unless you have a full developer license you cannot edit, anyhow it is not a good practice to edit these tables. Why the date is 10/10/0007 because of wrong data entry ? and how many records do you have like that ?
