Dears,

after mapping the files to PackageLocalDirectory from source control explorer, and refreshing the models i am still not able to open the projects "CodeMergeSolutions" or so.

is there any other step missing ?
this is the output message when i open the project "K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory\LAFD365 Agile\Releases\10.0.8.20007_U1_2020-09-07T14.00.10\Projects\CodeMergeSolution\ApplicationSuite.USR Model\ApplicationSuite.USRModel.rnrproj : error : The model 'ApplicationSuite.USR Model' specified on the project cannot be found."

do i need to create this model on my new VM to solve the issue ?

your help is highly appreciated.

Hi sylvesterPowerBi,

You will face the problem like this if there is no descriptor file.

Is there a Descriptor folder in the source control explorer?

Hi Sylvester,

Please check the metadata node mapping as well.

The descriptor file, as mentioned by Will should be automatically pulled in post code upgrade.

Try to Refresh models in Visual Studio (Dynamics 365 - Model management - Refresh models).

i found the Descriptior containing only 1 model and not the one in the error

I think you can ignore the error. It's just some project file and it seems to point to a model that doesn't exist.

Next you should refactor your customizations to extensions and move all your objects to your own package and model.

and by that you mean , copy all the objects mapped to my VM into my new model and run the build to find out the errors and resolve them ?

Hi Sylvester,

Can you check if this model was created at all - "ApplicationSuite.USR Model"?

In case it wasn't, can you try deleting the project under CodeMergeSolution and try to open it again?
