May I know how can I display Billing classification field and Valid billing classification on Journal Name creation with Journal type: Customer payment?

I am reviewing previous document of our client who s migrating to D365 FO and saw these field and button and tried to recreate it on D365 but I can't find ways to display these.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

    Hi Dhanicca,

Was this a standard feature in earlier version?? i am unable to recall this feature in AX 2012 R2 or R3....

If it was customize then here also it would require customization.

    Hi Dhanicca,

The billing classification is part of the public sector features. Is the license configuration key enabled for the public sector features?

    Hi Andre,

It was not set up for public sector. It is a real estate company.

Even when it is a real estate company, then the configuration key for public sector could be enabled and used. Have you already verified if it was enabled in both AX 2012 and Dynamics 365?

    Hello Dhanicca,

I wanted to follow up with you on this thread.  I understand that your customer is seeing the Use Billing Classification checkbox in the AR Parameters.

The functionality is tied to the Public Sector Config Key, if you do not have this marked, you will not see this option.  The link below gives some more information about Billing Clasifications, the link is for AX 2012 but still valid for D365 F&O.

If you have any questions please let me know.

My apology, this should at this moment be marked as closed. We haf confirmed with our client that this function on the Journal name was a customization done by their previous implementation provider.

    Thank you, everyone.
