Dear All,

I have already downloaded the trial version of NAV but wanted to get one full license in order setup and test fully on a test environment. Can any of you guide me how to get one single stand alone license to install on a test server.

Hi All,

Thanks for all your help. I was successfully installed and created a new company. Next question how to start setting up all of the following.

1) Accounting Management (Financial GL & other related AR/AP, Financial year)

2) Sales order processing setup (all key areas)

3) Purchase order processing setup ( all key areas)

4) Inventory Management - All

5) Cost and Manufacturing management

6) Interfaces and merges

Also what is the best way to import following.

1) Chart of accounts - master

2) Debtors / Creditors - master

3) Inventory Items - master

4) Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable (Transactions)

5) Purchase order / Sales order (transactions)

6) Inventory item opening balance

Suresh,

After my last uninstall and re install I have not selected the windows credential for my login instead I selected the NAV user ID. because of this when I open NAV its ask me to enter user ID I have entered my windows ID as well as SA but nothing works.

Now I am able to see my new database name along with system database and demo database. Thanks for your kind reply.

I used following link and selected choose an installation option and installed fully.

Following is the SQL server management when I browse and see the NAVDEMO but when i select and connect

so not sure what is the problem.

Babu,

If you choose demo option while installing it will create a new sql server instance called NAVDEMO so try to login into BBSNAVTEST\NAVDEMO and you should see navision database there.

If you are able to login and databse is being accessed, means that it has been created. Please check once again. it should be look like as given in below screenshot.

Or You can find out in programme files with .mdf file. So please check once again.

Hi Sandeep & Roberto,

I have installed NAV 2015 and everything look fine and installed sucessfully. However when go to the SQL server Management studio i cant see the database. however i am able to login to test company. SQL server 2012 and Windows server 2012 R2 and both SQL is on the same machine where I installed the NAV.
