Re : Can't clear a stock item with both positive and negative item tracking

Hi all
 
Hoping someone on here may have a solution for the below.
We have an item code showing -4 and +4 within the same location but when you go to item journal or item reclassification this doesn't show as obviously it's 0. Is there a way to clear this at all?

    Yes, we do have customisations for our warehouse processes, so quite possibly this screen relates to that. 
    Completely understand that stock should have lots or not but when our BC implementation co bought our opening balances in they did so initially without lot numbers and then had to fix this. When they did the fix, it wasn't smooth that's for sure and we had 6 months + of continuous issues with lots, it was not much fun to say the least! These few codes must be remnants from this.
    I was trying to avoid logging this with them due to costs etc but from all of your comments it sounds like I'm not going to have a choice.
    Appreciate everyone's feedback :)

    As mentioned the issue is related to having entries with a lot and then without a lot number. The system should not let you do this out of the box. Do you know how this was possible?

    Please can I check a few things; do you have any customisations? I cant find reference to the page you show in the base app? Where did you open that from?
     
    Also you show the same item having a Lot tracking on and Lot tracking off - my experience is you have to either have Lot tracking on or off from the start - how did you end up with a mix ?

    I have attached a screenshot below of the item ledger entries relating to the Lot number, does this shed any light on how I can clear this? I also have it happening with another code now so to be able to clear them would be good.

    the screenshot doesn't tell the full story. you could be certain the qty is zero when the outbound item entry is fully applied to the inbound item entry no.

    Hi,
     
    Entries are for same item and same location, but they don't sum to zero as the first entry is without lot no and second with lot no.
     
    Is possible send screenshot of Item Ledger Entries for Item FT-26C with fields - Quantity and Remaining Quantity to get more clarity.
