Regular stocking macros

We are a small scale distributer and we are looking for ways to increase our productivity and efficiency as we are short staffed. Is there a way to create a macro or set of conditions to add to purchase orders or send us reports on items once they fall below a set amount of stock?

    Hello,

Before there were business alerts in the older version of GP it email to respective user as per your condition but don't know on the new version of GP is possible or not.

Other than your requirement can easily achieve with the small .net application (service) that will see minimum order qty with actuals and create PO and send email to users.

Feel free to email me : sandipdjadhav@hotmail.com  to discuss in brief.

    Thanks much

    Sandip

    Darren,

We have received a similar request from our customer for PO Inventory stock level changes  going with a custom application to push these stock level alerts as a email report. If you are interested to learn please reach me at samr(at)expsoltech(dot)com

From Dynamics GP you can utilize the 'Purchase Order Generation' from within the 'Item Resource Planning'.

There are many resource sites on the web and customer source for more information...

If you have SSRS, the you could also schedule daily reports to be sent to you with items that are below your min levels defined, allowing you to handle the process manually. (SSRS/SQL2016 has MUCH improved scheduling features)
