Object type code 8 is sysuser, and for that I am puzzled to see where I should give Append To access across business unit level.

Please help..

Regards,

Ashay S

Can you check what permissions you have for the AppendTo privilege for your custom entity. Also check that the systemuser entity has append and appendto privileges for the role that you are testing with.

If you have given user or business unit access then it is likely that you are trying to set the user in your custom record to a user that is not in your business unit. If you dont have user lookup on your custom entity directly , check what is triggered on create ie activities and check the relevant permissions of those entities with regards to appendTo.

    Hi,

And in the rol of the user the custom entity has marked a appendto and append?

    Hi Andy,

    Thanks for response.

I modified that role, where in Business Management tab, I changed User entity's AppendTo and append access to Organization level. I tried to keep it parent child, but it was giving error in that so I had to change it to Organization level.

Actually I was searching for entity with name Sysuser which I couldnt find. Later I realised it is none other than User.

    Many thanks for your suggestion.

    Just for information to all...

This post on powerobjects also has example of same error code but with different object type.
