Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Archived)

Failure sending mail

Dear all,

when I try to send a document to approval, the system return me this error: unable to connect remote server. From SMTP messaging system

    check the Smtp Mail Setup in NAV.

    test it afterwards using a smple test codeunit using CU 400.

    There can be several problems causing this error. For troubleshooting purpose:

    - Is SMTP server in the same NAV domain?

    - Are you able to connect to it via telnet?

    - Did you check if firewall is actually blocking some types of access?
