Assume item ABC is a BOM item made of 1*A, 1*B and 1*C. We purchase A, B and C from supplier and pack them together as ABC in warehouse.
I set forecast for ABC 1000pcs/ month from Apr to Dec, current inventory for A, B and C is 100pcs/item and open order qty as 100pcs /item.
If consider the leadtime as 1 month and safety stock as 0pcs, definitely the planning would ask me to order something for A, B & C.
But actually the system even ask me to cancel the open order for A, B & C.
Totally stuck here, not sure where the things go wrong...

Anybody use the NAV forecasting and planning function? possible to share some experience?
As my understanding, forecasting is generated by user and filled in forecast sheet in NAV.
Then planning is calculated by NAV (current inventory, SO, PO, forecast...) and make suggestions to user.
Logic is right? But unfortunately my NAV totally does not work.
Anything / any setting in NAV need attention?
