How can I enable item tracking

I want to enable Item tracking to item but i am getting an error that the item is already have item ledger entry
is there any way to this?

Hi, I suggest you to create new item to enable Item Tracking feature.

If you really want to do it, you can use the Configuration Package feature to disable the "Validate Field" of this field.
