Is there anyway to have an email notofication send to a user when he is assinged a task or Activity in CRM?

Thanks for reaching out to Dnynamics COmmunity Forum.
You need to create a wokrflow when the record is assigned.
1. Go to Settings > Process > New.
2. Select the Entity as Task
3. Click Add Step and Send Email.
4. Give a Name to the Send Email action.
5. You can either choose to create a New Email Message or use an existing Email Template.
6. Click Properties and you will be presented with the New Email screen.
7. Here you will have to select from which mailbox the emails would be processed.
