GP 2018 - E-Mails Not Being Sent through Workflow

Hi:

In Fabrikam, we're using the default A/P invoice workflow.  It has been testing well, in terms of sending e-mails to a user.

But, today, we replaced her A/D user with another.  We received no errors, upon processing a test workflow.  But, no e-mails were generated to this other user.

Any ideas?

    Hi Nattis:

    I replaced the credentials in Workflow Setup just now with my credentials and, indeed, a test e-mail successfully made its way to my Inbox.

    But, payables transaction entry still will not send me an approval e-mail, despite the fact that I am setup as a "manager" in Workflow Maintenance.

    Ay, ay, ay, this is disappointing and has been a complete waste of my extraordinarily valuable time.

    Since its sample company, could you reconfigure the web service and test the workflow again?

    Dear John,

    Please check the below points are properly configured 

    • Double check the Workflow email setup in Setup -> System -> Workflow Setup. When I click the "Test E-Mail" button and make sure the test email reaches successfully.

    • Check the other user is configured under active directory in Setup >> System >> User >> Directory Account

    • Check the Event Log on the server where Web Services is running for any service stops or restarts.

    • I guess email workflow actions work with a domain network. if you want to use outside, configure VPN of your domain network to make it working.
