Refresh Entity List error: Change Tracking is not enabled on the database

Hi all

When I try to refresh the Data Entity list I get an error "Change Tracking is not enabled on the database: SQL Server Change Tracking".

Screenshot-2019_2D00_08_2D00_08-at-09.41.50.png

I got this about a week ago and then it magically disappeared again after a while.

How do I fix this? I am aware of change tracking & data entities. But this seems like something went wrong in SQL Server Management?

Thanks for reading

Well it went away again after a project build (no changes).

May be  full build of package and sync will help you.

Did this happened after restoring DB?

Mr Sherlock Holmes - we have missed you :) You are correct!

Could you explain why this happens? I haven't done a DB restore recently, so haven't been able to confirm your suspicion. But I am reasonably sure that both times I got the error were soon after a DB restore.

I hope I did not seem rude with my previous response. I was truly very impressed.

No not at all :) I am not sure about the exact root cause but could be because if other environment has more or less entities and tables involved like DMFEntities and all are messed up. Did this issue resolved by running full build and DB Sync?

    Makes sense!

It went away after a project build. I am currently working with data entities... So I guess when an entity or two got synced DMFEntities sorted itself out.

    Thanks!
