The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permissions to view it.

Hi all,

A user is receiving an error message when they try to create a new record. The error is coming from a field with a linked entity. I have checked the permissions and the user has the required permissions for both entities. The linked record does exist as they are able to access it in the CRM. What is strange is that when they are in an existing record linked to the entity they are able to click the linked record and access it, but when creating a new record they are unable to save. They are using Chrome, but the error also occurs on Edge. Any ideas?

The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permissions to view it.

    Hi,

Thanks for explaining the requirement again.

Just wanted to know, do you have any custom business logic on create of Table A?

and wdc_croptype  is this field or entity?

    Reason for asking:

There might be scenario in which custom logic need to some custom entity access which was not provided to user.

    Thanks,

    Pradeep.

    Hi Pradeep,

Thanks for your reply. Let me see if I can be a bit clearer in my explanation.

The user is trying to create a record in Table A, they have business unit permissions on this table for everything except delete. There is a LookUp column in Table A to Table B. The user also has business unit permissions on Table B for everything except delete. When they try to create the entry in Table A there is the error. However, the record in Table B exists in the CRM and they are able to access it. They can also access the record through previous entries in Table A, it is only when trying creating a new record that the error message occurs.

I hope that's a bit clearer and thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give.

    Hi,

If i understand it correctly then when user create the record and trying to set the lookup then user getting the error.

If yes then please check the create permission.

There might be a possibility that user have business unit level read permission but create is user level then in this case user will receive error.

    Thanks,

    Pradeep.
