'Commodity Codes' is not a standard field on the item card. Where did you see this field?

    Hi. Thanks for your response.
What you suggest , how to add and use commodity code field? I should work with sale and purchase  between EU Countries and commodity codes are mandatory .

We currently do not have a commodity code field on the Item Card. I believe that other localizations have a similar setup. One possible solution would be to create a new table to store commodity codes and add a new field to the Item to assign these codes. This would require customization.

Got it, thanks for the clarification. Sorry - I'm in North America, and just to clarify, the commodity code field is not a standard feature in the NA version of Business Central. From the documentation I’ve seen here, it appears that commodity codes are available in the Czech and possibly the Italian versions of the system. If you don’t have this field, could you use the 'Tariff No.' field instead? Perhaps other users who are more familiar with Intrastat can offer additional assistance.

Hi, You can try to search this field using Page Inspection.

If it is not found, it means that the standard does not have this field.
If it can be found, you can add it to the page using the following method.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

I agree with the previous responses. Basically, use page inspection to check if that standard field is available in the version for your country. If it's not available, you’ll need to add it through customization.

As per Valentin's comment, why not use the Tariff code. Isn't it the same thing but with different names depending on your region.

    Hi,

If you are not using Dimensions, you can use Commodity Code as a Dimension. Item table has fields called Global Dimension 1 and Global Dimension 2 that you can use. It can be used on Sales and Purchase as well.

For-example: My Global Dimension 1 is Department but I set the caption to Commodity and on Item card I see it as Commodity Code.

If Dimensions are already configured then use Tariff field as suggested by other experts.
