Dynamics 365 real time journey error: There was a problem displaying the inflow data

We recently are getting the following errors on our real-time journeys: There was a problem displaying the inflow data. Refresh the page to try again.
The journeys are pretty straight forward flows so I don't expect any complex inflow data.
 
Refreshing the page doesn't fix it. Do you know how I can fix these errors?

    couple of troubleshooting suggestions - apologies if you've already tried these: 
     
    • check your data connections and integrations to ensure properly configured
    • review permissions to ensure the user running has the necessary permissions to access the data and complete those actions within Journey
    • clear all cache and cookies and retry
    • update your browser, if not already updated (compatibility issues exist at times with D365 and outdated browsers)
    • check for any system updates: patches may be available that will fix or improve 
    • review the journey configuration again -double checking that all steps and components are correctly set up
