Newer to AX. Going live soon. What is the difference between the Customer requisition and Customer reference fields? I noticed that the field names are (SalesTable).PurchOrderFormNum and (SalesTable).CustomerRef, respectively.
Does the system use one field differently than the other? It seems like they were meaning for the Customer Requisition field to be PO field due to the name of the field?
Requisition is something they might want to show on the Invoice, i.e. PO number, to help with the customers' reconciliation for inbound goods.
The Reference is more like special instruction i.e. where to drop off the goods, which you would normally show on a Delivery note.

If you don't mind I have split the thread because your question was different.
There is no real functionality related to these fields other than storing a reference. The Customer requisition might be more formal in having a customer PO number (max 20 chars) and the Customer reference more as a note (max 140 chars).
