We have a multi organisation D365F&O installation.

The user has a role which is shared across 2 organisation. When they are using Credit and collections > Payments > Customer payment journal

In organisation 1, they can tick the Use a paying-in slip box

In organisation 2, they cannot tick the Use a paying-in slip box

When I sign on with full Admin rights, It is the same - So I do not think it is security

What causes that field to become un-editable ?

There is two causes, if I remember correctly:

The payment method is marked for bridging posting.

The payment journal is marked for summarization. This can also come from the journal name.
