I am seeing a bit of oddness with workflows......
Issue #1 - when a timecard is taken out of its normal flow it seems to pick up from the resubmitter....
Normal workflow
employee -> Manager -> Payroll
Recalled workflow
employee -> Manager -> Payroll -> recalled by manager/corrected resubmitted - now it goes to managers' manager when it should go back to payroll
-- the assignment is defined to Workflow originator's direct manager then to an individual.
Issue#2 - I tried to use the Employee to direct manager but it jumped over direct manager to next level manager....
Thank you....Michael

I have the same question (0)I have learned that there is no way to disable the Recall function, it is there specifically for the purpose of pulling a document out of the current workflow. Submit and Re-submit are the exact same thing, re-submit simply indicates that there is previous workflow history for this document that is viewable.
Resubmit is not submitting the document using different workflow logic, it is simply resubmitting the workflow from the beginning. There is no way to effectively cancel a workflow and then resubmit it half-way through the workflow rules that you have setup. This would present a bigger problem where-in a user could submit a document on a workflow and let the first approver approve, then recall it and change it and “resubmit” it and have it bypass the first approver who would not be able to approve or deny the changes.
I think this will simply come down to making sure the users understand that when they ‘Recall’ they are canceling the current workflow and will be starting it from the beginning when they re-submit it.
