Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to merge columns and have other columns under them and if so maybe there are some tutorials available online ?

I hope you can understand what I mean :)

P.S. Is it possible to create break between cells and have few more cells exported like in the red box ?

    • Why do you need to do something manually that can be done by a program

    Hi Ididntwanttomakethisacc,

Can't you simply do all this formatting in Excel by running a macro that does the formatting for you?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi ididntwanttomakethisacc,

Can you tell how this question is related to AX2009? Are you exporting a report as Excel or do you have a customization which will create an Excel file?

Is this actually an issue for Dynamics AX?

You could likely customize the report to achieve this prior to export. AX 2009 is out of service life and I don't have access to it for testing. There may be some other experts on the forums with knowledge on this.

Or is it a question of Excel functionality?

You can do all kinds of formatting and cell manipulation after exporting a report to a spreadsheet. You could likely set up a template and copy/paste the data over the template as well. I'm not an Excel expert, but there are many tutorials available online that would help. Or you could post on the Excel forums.

    Best Regards,
