How can we apply Sales Tax on Retail Price.

Dear All,

We have two sales prices .

In GP we sell the product at our agreed price to shop keeper or distributor.who sell the product at retail price.In Pakistan VAT is charged on Retail price. I request yot to please guide how can i apply sales tax on retail price in GP.

Is the mark up for the Retail price a fixed %age of the distributor price?

Thinking out loud here......

If so, you could set the Tax Percentage to be a factor of that.

Are the sales items tracked as Inventory Items? or Services?

If services - you may be able to use the 'Base tax on %age of Cost' - and set the Cost of the service to be the retail amount.

Other than that I can't think of anything in standard GP that would help....
