Adding SSRS Reports to LINK section in User Workspaces

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hi,

I have created a user Workspace (e.g. MyWorkspace1)  I know I can add tiles, tabbed lists, and Power BI links into the Workspace.

I know that it is possible to call SSRS reports from within the LINKS section on the rightmost pane of the Workspace

Is there some way that I can add the report link I want to call from here via the font end?  I assume I can do this via AOT by creating a workspace and somehow calling the URL for the SSRS report

Any help appreicated

Regards

D

    Hi siopold99,

There is an option to personalize forms and add items on these links. However, it might not be supported for reports menu items. So, indeed you have to extend the workspace in Visual Studio.

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. As an example I am showing the OOTB 'Manage customers credits and collections' workspace

On the right hand side of the workspace is the area where you can add Reports under 'Reports' section - The ones you see are standard OOTB reports some of which are SSRS

I have a number of bespoke SSRS reports developed in the AOT VM onebox environment.

I would like to add those reports here.

I guess I could do this by amending the workspace in AOT and syncing back to production etc.

I wondered if there was an easier way to do this - I.e. via the front end, not via the AOT,  the same as how I can do if I want to add tiles to this workspace.

    Regards

    Hi Siopold99,

Can you elaborate? I don't understand exactly what you are asking here. Probably a screenshot or mockup picture would also help in understanding.
