Process not setting field values on field change

I created a new CRM Process

Set it to run after field change and selected a lookup field

I also changed the workflow to real-time workflow

But the workflow  is setting the field values only when I click on save and not as I change the value of the lookup field

What should I change to make the workflow modify values as the value of the lookup is changed

    Hello,

    This is a default behaviour, workflow will only trigger once record is saved. If you want to implement some logic which should run as soon as you change value of your field, you need to write client side code (Java Script) for this.

    Hi,

    Workflow will only trigger when user clicked on save button. In this case , you need to use JavaScript or business rule to achieve it. Register the event as onchange event.
