SSRS 2012 and basic authentication

Posted on by 536

Hi there

I need some assistance to set up basic authentication when using a remote smtp server to send subscription emails from SSRS.

Anyone with experience with this?

If you haven't, I would put this question in the SQL Server/Reporting Services forum, as that is the team that handles more the SQL Reporting Services side, especially subscription emails.

Dynamics GP support only really handles the deployment of our canned SSRS reports from Dynamics GP application and some basic troubleshooting of the Reporting Services.

    Thanks

I don't think SSRS 2012 allows to enter authentication. You may need to use "Direct Send" method without authentication.

    Reference for "Direct Send":
How to set up a multifunction device or application to send email using Microsoft 365 or Office 365
