Hello,
I have a customer who is on AX 2012 currently and would like to know what their license configuration will look like once they transition to the latest version. They would like to know what they are entitled to as a result of being up to date on the BREP. Please help. Thanks.
Alfred
Hi Alfred,
There are options to upgrade the license. You can read more on Microsoft Docs. You can engage with your partner or Microsoft to get more details for your scenario as there is a split in SKU's for e.g. Finance and SCM.

Thanks Arnaud.
Sadly, none of the documentation provided tells you exactly how the user types & counts would look in the new version. I.e is it 1:1 or 1:M etc. AX had enterprise and functional user CALs, what does transition to?
would you know if indeed there is truly a transition plan without additional cost to the customer or is it that customers need to buy the new licenses but with discounted promos?
not able to find the right answer yet.
For this question, you can better reach out to your partner or Microsoft. I just realized that the transition guide is created for Dynamics 365 CE based apps.
