Hello Everyone - I am on the Business Central support team and frequently monitor the community.  I wanted to share our support blog where we have regular posts regarding Business Central.  If you have any ideas you would like the support team to blog about feel free to reach out to me or post a reply here.

    Hi Andy

    Thank you so much. This is a great opportunity for me to learn more.

    These are a few topics that can help me a lot.

    1) We are in BC SaaS and as a system admin we cannot always check the Microsoft health status web site. Even sometimes checking the status web site does not help if BC has issue like the one time that nobody could login. Is it any method available that we can receive email or text if BC is down or users cannot login? Something like this but for non-technical system admin like me?  demiliani.com/.../

    2) For permission. We can give permission to one table (such as Customer) to one user. But how about if we want to limit that user access to a few fields? Is this possible out of the box? If yes how? For example user can change the address or add Ship To but cannot change Discount or Price group.

    3) Dataverse is a great tools but I could not find a great document on how to use it in BC. Most documents are general. Can your team write one specific blog just about customer or vendor and how to take it to Dataverse and how to use it in Power apps?

    A post about using the BC power automate connector to post attachments into BC via a different datasource. Tried it in a variety of ways but to no avail. Can get it working with Postman no problem.

    For this forum, it would be nice to prompt the user for BC version number and Country Version. I would help provide better responses.

    Dear Mr. Sather

    Our company is based in Liechtenstein but the Business Central service is unfortunately not available in this country. We are currently in the preparation phase of the Dynamics 365 rollout for multiple sites/companies with the help of a MS Partner. Right now we are stuck becuase the service isn't available. How should we proceed?

    Hi All,

    1. I am a freelancer, consultant/developer, and I am missing some standardization of the support tickets, i.e. as users post any support ticket (question) some additional (technical fields) are missing and then I have to read the whole ticket to get the info on which BC/NAV version is it all about.

    Please place some technical fields to be filled out as users post the question on the forum:

    - deployment: SaaS/On-Prem

    - BC/NAV version used:

    - describe user steps, etc.

    2. Search for my questions -> it is really difficult to find posted question, or I just can't find one I posted few days ago. So please do make some subpage with all the users' posted questions.

    agreed, some fields have been added but not version number, country version and the current options are really odd

    Can you please fix the Forum so when someone posts it denotes the Country and Version of BC. This would greatly help.

    Andy, Steve and I have submitted the same request. We need localization and version to be required fields when a user posts a question.
