    Hi,

If I am not wrong the licence file for AX 2009 will not work in AX 2012. Licence file contains codes which are used to enable certain functionality in AX like AOT.

Why are you using licence file of AX 2009 as the structure of AOT is changed in AX 2012 as compared to AX 2009.

    Hello,

You are indeed correct Faisal, you cannot use an AX 2009 Licence in an AX 2012 environment, as the codes and structure will be different

    Hi Nisanth,

Not sure why this is happening, I had the same issue in AX2012 R2 + CU7 while upgrading from AX40. resolved it by doing the following :

    Option 1:

    1. Open command prompt "CMD"

    2. navigate to AX32.exe file (mostly in C:\program files (X86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Client\Bin)

    3. type :  AX32.exe -development

    4. click enter AX will open in development mode.

    Option 2:

    1. Open AX client configuration utility

    2. Find an option like "Command to run at application start up" available in the general tab.

    3. type : -development and save the configuration.

Open the AX now, It will open in development mode

Hi Deepak, Did you import valid license file? You can only access DEV environment after importing license file which should not be expired one. You can download new license file from partner source for demo versions.

    Hi Faisal,

This is not possible. Deepak is not the initiator of the thread. This post is already 3 years old. I have also seen your initial similar answer and as moderator I marked it for you.
