hi all,

i am newbie to dynamics, my requirement is to import data through excel sheet into d365 fo for a custom table created by us. not using both class or entity. does anyone have different solution??

Dynamics 365 is a suite of several different business applications. Which one do you mean? Dynamics 365 Finance, for example?

I'll move your question to the right forum when it's clear which one you need.

If you reject both using the standard solution (data entities) and writing a custom solution, then your task can't be done. If you want to do it, you'll need accept at least one of the options.

hi sorry for not being clear.

i can go for custom solution. but the thing is i want to give the fine name in code itself rather browsing the file name.

You have two main options:

You'll put the file somewhere in the cloud. Then you can something like a Logic App reading the file and pushing it to F&O, or custom code in F&O reading the file directly.
A variant of this would be using a gateway to access local files from cloud.

You'll keep files on a local storage and you'll have a local app that will read them and push them to F&O. Recurring Integrations Scheduler is an example of such an app.
