Is there any way to show the option set value description on hover on the value in the drop-down on form in Dynamics 365 Sales?

We have an option set (choice) field where each option set value has a detailed description to help user select the appropriate option. We have added the descriptions against each value while creating the column but now how to show those descriptions on interface?

We tried using a PCF control pcf.gallery/.../ for this purpose but the solution is not getting imported in any environment?

Any help, solution, or suggestion on this will be really helpful.

Hi,

Please follow below steps to upload the above pcf gallary component to environment.

1. Download the project
2. Extract the file
3. Open Developer Command Prompt for VS2019 or greater
4. Navigate to extracted folder in developer command prompt
5. run npm i
6. Go to solution folder
7. run msbuild /t:build /restore
8. run msbuild /p:configuration=Release

Now you can import the solution from bin/Release folder.

You can use attached solution file for the same.
OptionSetWithDescriptionsControl_5F00_Solution.zip

As Pradeep suggested try that and make sure you are following the steps described in learn.microsoft.com/.../import-custom-controls

Thanks Pradeep for the suggestions. This solution works. Another challenges is that this pcf control is working only on single select optionset not with multi-select option set. Any suggestion around that will be helpful.

For Multiselect we need to create new pcf control. because above was design for option set only.
