Vacation/Sick time not accruing for one employee

Posted on by 5

Out of 200 employees who all use the same pay codes, one person is not accruing vacation or sick time.  The pay codes set up are used by all employees.  I have checked everything I can think of and everything is marked to accrue vacation/sick time.  What else can I check to fix this issue?

  • RE: Vacation/Sick time not accruing for one employee

    Hello Robert,

In order for the system to try to accrue for the employee, the Effective date you enter in the Accrual window has to be the 'same as or higher' than the Next Accrual Date on the employee.  That is how the system knows 'who' to accrue for.  Then it looks at the accrual schedule/codes to see 'how much' to accrue.

If it puts a 0 hour record in the TATX1030 for the accrual, then it tried to accrue for this employee, but couldn't for some reason.  Typically they met one of the two maximums (Defined on the accrual code) so you'll have to look at those first and rule those out.

(Just a reminder that the forums are for general information/posts,so if you want me to dig into your specific data you would have to open a support case for further assistance.  Thank you in advance.)

    Hi Cheryl,

The following are the questions you asked with my answer:

Is the accrual based on hours worked, or per pay period? Answer:  Pay Period  Sick is 1.85 and Vacation is 3.08

What effective date did you use when you accrued?   1/8/2022  What is the employee's next accrual date? 6/26/22  We initially tried using a date of 1/8/22.  But, it didn’t work until we asked for your help in February.  Although, it seems to be accruing hours-there is no history anywhere for him.

Did it put an accrual record for 0 hours in the TATX1030 table? Answer: Yes, it is.

What is the start date and end date on the Accrual schedule? Answer:  12/26/2021 to 12/24/2022

    Any idea?

    Thanks,

    Rob

There is not enough information to advise. Please check out the following questions on your own:

Is the accrual based on hours worked, or per pay period?

What effective date did you use whenyou accrued?   What is the employee's next accrual date?

Did it put an accrual record for 0 hours in the TATX1030 table?

What is the start date and end date on the Accrual schedule?

    etc.

Please open a Support case if you would like an engineer to review the setup with you.

    Thanks

    Hi Cheryl,

I have the same situation as there is one employee added this Feb. but system did not accrue for this employee at all, we are not using any 3rd party product, the accrue type is from Human Resources. I checked TATX1030, GP did not accrue or add a detailed record for that employee, others are all fine. Any idea?

    Thanks,

    Rob

    Hello Sonyaj,

There is not enough information included to be able to advise on this.  What is 'professional PTO'?   If this is a 3rd party that you are accruing through, you may need to go to them for additional assistance.  If you are accruing in HR, it may be best to open a support case with Dynamics GP support for assistance so we can review your setup for, see if it did accrue (TX30000) but accrued for 0 hours, check maximums, check the NEXT ACCRUAL DATE, versus the last date accrued, and it matters if it's an hours per year accrual or fixed amount per pay period accrual, etc.  All of that would need to be reviewed so opening a case would be best.  .

    Thank you in advance,
    Cheryl
